Will not be Forgotten

For the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever. Psalm 9:18

When reading this portion of Psalm 9, it reminds us that many in the world today have forgotten the poor, the ones most in need, always neglected, and overlooked by all; those who live without hope. Many times their own families have forgotten and rejected them, what more could they expect? To think that there is no hope for them, that it’s over…

That is the reality of thousands of boys and girls today who have been victims of human trafficking. But there is hope, a small light in the midst of the darkness, or as this psalm says: “For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.” Glory to God! Well, a month ago we managed to rescue 6 young girls from this terrible scourge of child trafficking that plagues our world today, more than ever.

New Rescue Operation

They are six beautiful girls between the ages of 12 and 16. They were all rescued in Nepal and are now safe and sound in our shelter home in India. These little girls come from dysfunctional, very poor families, where their own parents could no longer and/or did not want to take care of them. Many of them were delivered into the hands of relatives, who in turn delivered them into the hands of traffickers to be offered to the highest bidder, without them even knowing it.

But thanks be to God, for after a long time of waiting, preparation and prayer, these little girls are beginning a new life today! A life full of hope, not only for a better future, but a life full of peace and joy that comes from the blessing of knowing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; the greatest thing they will ever receive in their lifetime and the only One that can heal and restore their hearts completely.

Furthermore, for complete integration into the home and their new family, we are already taking steps to enroll these little girls in school, where the other girls who make up the Bridge of Love project also attend. Help us pray for their physical and emotional necessities in this new season, as well as for the rest of our girls and their continued urgent needs. You will understand that the joy of receiving six girls at once also entails many additional expenses and responsibilities. It is not easy, but our trust is not placed in ourselves or in our truly limited resources, but in our God who is a great miracle worker, amen!

Many thanks to all those who were part of this new rescue with their donations and prayers. And if there are some who are reading this for the first time, thank you for doing so and we welcome you to be a part of this wonderful work called “Bridge of Love.” Your donations and prayers undoubtedly allow us to move forward.

We will be publishing a short story behind the rescue of these girls soon. Unfortunately, we are quite limited when we publish photos of the girls, despite partially covering their faces for security reasons. However, if you wish to learn more about the “Bridge of Love” project, videos and/or bare-face testimonies, do not hesitate to contact us to visit your church by writing us using the Contact page.

Again, thank you very much and let us continue to bring hope and freedom to those who have been forgotten.

In Christ:
Simon and Tomas Mora
