Rescue Mission

The light of our Lord Jesus Christ has not stopped shining and continues dispelling darkness and death; that is exactly what happened last December 2021 at a remote location on the border between India and Nepal. Three young girls who were deprived of their liberty and left hopeless in complete desolation were rescued!

The miracle has occurred and these girls are now free! Glory to God! (click on the picture to enlarge it)

These girls are between eleven and thirteen years old. Two of them are already residing in our shelter in India, happy and eager to start new lives. After her rescue, the third young girl was reunited with her mother and aunty, something that seemed impossible. It was a very special moment full of joy and emotion. However, after coming to know of the Bridge of Love Project in India, her mother’s wish was for her daughter to return with us due to the terrible living conditions, and constant risk of being found. Unfortunately, that has not been possible yet due to issues of documentation. The most important thing is she is now back with her family.

Thank you to all those who pray and support us financially allowing us to make this a reality. It hasn’t been easy; it’s been a long and difficult wait to be able to carry out a new rescue operation due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, today we can once again celebrate the victory of Light overcoming the darkness. May the blessed light of our Lord Jesus Christ shine even brighter in our hearts, and let us shine with it in a world that is submerged in darkness and in much need of knowing the grace and love of the Lord.

Anti-Convertion Law

We would like to ask you to pray for the protection of our missionaries and pastors who have been victims of persecution for preaching the gospel, especially for our brother Nick and his family.

He was recently (8/8/2022) detained, and at the time of writing this report we are in the process of negotiating his release from jail. The police want to try him on the anti-conversion law that is enforced in India, preventing and prohibiting preaching of the gospel unless a bail of $700 is paid. The family and members of the congregation are in hiding and fearful. If you feel moved to financially support pastor Nick, please follow this link.

Despite the persecution, constant difficulties and opposition, it is our desire to continue expanding the missionary work and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in India; incorporating more passionate local missionaries with our organization and training them to fulfill the great commission.

New School Year

Speaking of the girls who make up the Bridge of Love Project, we are happy to inform you that they are doing very well. They are growing fast and are very excited for a new year in their studies after passing their final exams, most of them with great success. To start the new school year, we have had to renew their uniforms, new textbooks, fees, etc. But the Lord has been faithful despite these expenses. Thank you to all those who have been faithful to this work, helping each month allowing us to continue our good work.

Here are some photos of the girls with their new uniforms and textbooks. (click on the picture to enlarge it)

Graduation from Bible School

We are very excited to share great news with you all! Pramila was part of the first group of girls we rescued back in 2012 and the first to graduate from Bible school. It is hard to believe what the Lord has done in her life, from where she came to seeing her at this point in her life. She is evidence of the impossible! What a blessing!

We can truly see the fulfillment of the scripture Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Praise the Lord!

Never Silenced

While Hindu nationalists seek to eradicate all Christian witnesses from India, the gospel cannot be silenced or stopped. Our brothers and missionaries in India continue to live boldly for Christ, joyfully paying any price for the sake of the gospel. Even through the COVID pandemic, the church of Christ continues to grow.
