Growing in the work of the Lord

School

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1Corinthians 15:58

As we all know, the work of the Lord is very broad, diverse, requires a lot of effort, dedication and is always lacking willing hands to help, or as the Lord Jesus Christ himself said, “Then he said to his disciples: The harvest is truly plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37).

But those of us who are in this, know that our work in the Lord is not in vain. Glory to God! The work continues to grow and we have many challenging projects ahead of us, a real test of our faith. But as the great servant of God George Müller states:

“The more I am in a position to be tested in faith in relation to my body, my family, my service to the Lord, my affairs, etc. the more I will have the opportunity to see God’s help and deliverance; and each new instance in which he helps me and gives me a solution will result in the increase of my faith”.

Amen, we believe that our faith will grow and we will see the glory of God in his service. Below, we leave you some news about the progress of the work in India and future projects.

Local Church

We are happy that our local church continues to grow and disciple new believers. Our girls from the Puente de Amor project attend there and are an important part of it with active participation and where our brother Lukas, director of Macom Ministry in India, is the pastor. Let us pray that it continues to grow and reach more and more people in the capital of the state of Uttarakhan.

Training

Entrenamiento

One of our main objectives for this and the coming years is to train and send out local leaders and pastors who have no affiliation and are generally alone with very little theological training. To start, we are already holding seminars and meetings for this purpose in addition to other biblical training. Our brothers also receive encouragement, fresh vision, and thorough education in theology. Within this context, there is also the desire of starting a short-term training, discipleship and formation center for local missionaries, starting in the city of Srinagar, in the state of Kashmir. A bold but very strategic plan for the spreading of the gospel especially in the less reached places of north India. In fact, we have already started some training meetings for this purpose.

In a future update we will be talking more about this important project. Let us pray for the finances and development of the necessary materials, teachers, maintenance costs, rent for the headquarters, and suitable candidates for the great task of evangelism.

Persecuted Christians

Persecución

One of the great challenges and trials that believers in India constantly face is persecution for their faith in Christ. One of the places that has been most and seriously affected is Manipur, a state in the far northeast of India, bordering Burma.

The church in Manipur has suffered greatly, with the burning and destruction of churches, death, abuse, and more than 60,000 displaced. The list is very long and painful, but as a ministry, we wanted to be present with a symbolic help in so much need. Our goal was to show them God’s love in a practical way and tell them that we are with them. Much of this effort is due to our brother Lukas who made a long trip and personally went to deliver aid.

Let us not get tired of praying for the persecuted church in India because it is very easy to forget about it when we live in a place very far from this reality.

Tuition Center

This new aid project, with a great evangelistic scope, has been around for a while but we have only formalized it now, or perhaps, putting it another way, this project fell into our hands without asking for it. In fact, we couldn’t say no to the Lord and the needs of our neighbor.

The idea would be, with the help of God and yours, to have a small elementary Christian school in an extremely poor neighborhood of the city of Dehradun called “Madrashi”. Currently, we already have more than 50 children who do not formally attend school and are already beginning to receive education.

There is still much to do, so we ask for your prayers, that a new place may soon become available to house more children and everything necessary to educate them and help them meet some of their basic needs and, above all, give them the Gospel and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bridge of Love Project

For those who don’t know, the “Bridge of Love” project is at the heart of our ministry and its purpose is to rescue underage girls from human trafficking. So far we have rescued 44 girls and currently have 22 girls in our shelter home in Dehradun. Six of them we managed to rescue a few months ago (See the latest rescue article).

We didn’t want to finish this report without telling you about them. Today they are very happy and fully integrated in with the rest of the girls, their new family. They are all studying in a very good private school receiving an education they had never had before. Moreover, they have received the gospel with great joy and every day, little by little, they grow in faith by praying and reading the word of God along with the rest of the girls.

We ask for your prayers for all the girls and their multiple needs that we have to cover each month. If you feel moved to support our ministry in India, click the button below. Let us continue praying to continue our mission to rescue more and more girls from the terrible scourge of human trafficking.
